Dr. April Spina PT, DPT, 

April Spina is a licensed physical therapist with more than 15 years of clinical experience helping individuals achieve optimal health, function, and quality of life. She specializes in pelvic health physical therapy for both women and men, providing compassionate, evidence-based care for a wide range of pelvic floor, bladder, bowel, sexual health, pregnancy, postpartum, and postoperative conditions. She also has extensive expertise in orthopedics and sports medicine, allowing her to take a whole-body approach to treatment and recovery.

April earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California and then went on to complete the Kaiser Permanente Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency. She is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS) and has advanced training in Pilates-based rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, and pelvic health care.  Her clinical interests include urinary and bowel dysfunction, pelvic pain, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, return to exercise and sport, gender-affirming care, and rehabilitation before and after pelvic and abdominal surgeries.

In addition to patient care, April serves as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Bio kinesiology and Physical Therapy at USC, where she teaches and mentors future physical therapists. She is actively involved in pelvic health education, residency training, and research presentations focused on pelvic health and interdisciplinary care. She is passionate about creating a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their healing journey. Her goal is to help every patient regain confidence, improve function, and return to the activities that matter most to them through individualized, patient-centered care.
